This unreliability allows the series to dial up full bombast. (Her and Jules’ matching tattoos, for example.) Her unreliability has been proven several times over, as we often see things that don’t actually occur, or jive with her telling of them. Several times this episode she reminds us she wasn’t there-or sober-to know exactly what happened. How Rue is able to make these moves has always been suspect.
